The theme of the wedding:

“The theme was to create an ice blue mirage with the usage of feathers to create a New Orleans classic style wedding with a modern look. We took the color of platinum silver as our base with accent colors of blue. The table centerpieces included white hydrangeas, white roses, white ostrich feathers, and crystal branches on top of antique silver candelabras.

“The white ostrich feathers used to signify the feathers in the costumes that are used during Mardi Gras, but with a lavish look and feel. The blue hue from the uplighting in the room gave the room the ice blue color to represent the bodies of water that surround New Orleans. New Orleans is the origin of the bride’s family. The DJ also played New Orleans style sound, cajun and zydeco, mixed with R&B sounds. The ceremony was a Catholic ceremony. She had ceremony music played by a local famous and inspiring artist, Chelsey Green of The Green Project.”

The bride’s most memorable moment:

“The DJ put on a New Orleans jazz mix to a Marvin Gaye song and my family got up and surrounded me and danced around me…. It was a page right out of a New Orleans wedding. That was really my favorite memory.”
