“The planning process was the one and only time I wished that I was the kind of woman who had always looked forward to planning her wedding. Being far from that image, it took a solid year—after our engagement—to finally overcome the anxiety and fear to start planning the "big day." Luckily, my fiancé is very patient and process-oriented, thus we quickly found a system of divvying up the various tasks and had the good wits to bring on board Keisha Moody-Hawkins as our wedding planner. The biggest and most challenging part of the planning was finding a venue that had character, would allow outside catering, and yet would not break the bank. We were very fortunate in having stumbled upon a hidden gem in the Maryland Zoo Mansion House that sat atop Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, MD.”
