EBONY: What inspired the design?
Cgoldnglam: The inspiration for this design came from my clients, Gucci Coda Neon Yellow Sneakers.
EBONY: What are your favorite nail trends?
Cgoldnglam: Currently I love bold bright colors and embellishments. Bright neon colors are so fun and daring! Adding studs and crystals is a great way to glam your nails. You can also add a pop of neon along with a nude color for a more subtle look.
Editor’s Note: Cgoldnglam used gel polishes for this design, but feel free to recreate the look with regular polish. We like Sparitual in Peace and Harmony ($10.00) for the off-white nails and Pure Ice in Bikini ($1.97) to create the fun tie-dye accent nails.
EBONY: How do you create a tie-dye effect?
Cgoldnglam: To create the tie-dye effect: Fill a bowl with water and drip a few drops of your favorite colors. It really only takes a few drops of each color. Swirl the polish with a toothpick to get the desired effect. Dip fingertips in the solution and soak for a minute or two to allow the polish to stick. Pull your fingers out, letting the excess water drip, then finish with a top coat.
