Former president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama offered their support to the hundreds of Florida teens fighting for gun control after 17 people were killed at a Parkwood, Fla. high school last week.

On Wednesday, Michelle Obama sent an encouraging tweet for the teens to her 10 million followers.

“I’m in total awe of the extraordinary students in Florida,” she tweeted. “Like every movement for progress in our history, gun reform will take unyielding courage and endurance.”

On Thursday, President Obama joined his wife by offering support to those “fearless students.”

Survivors of the school shooting confronted Sen. Marco Rubio on Wednesday in a CNN town hall debate, directly asking him will he refuse future funding from the NRA. He would not say no.
