Georgia Town Participates in Unique Social Experiment on Love Led by 'Modern-Day Matchmaker' Paul Carrick Brunson

August 15, 2012

Two matchmakers, 15,000 townspeople, six singles and one dramatic social experiment. What happens when the residents of Kingsland, Georgia, open their hearts for 30 days? Get a sneak peek.

Black social media junkies knows Paul Carrick Bruson quite well. The loveable 'Modern-Day Matchmaker' and relationship coach made a name for himself blogging, creating networing events and hosting weekly Twitter chats designed to help eligible Black singles find love via the web. Now, his warm personality and knack for life coaching will be featured on OWN's newest series, "Lovetown, USA."

Oprah travelled to Kingsland, GA earlier this year with Brunson and "love architect" Kailen Rosenberg with the goal of transforming the lovelorn town into a healthier, happier community. With everyone from the mayor to local school children involved, the social experiment goes beyond matchmaking and explores the ways that love can change the quality of life on a massive scale.

Throughout the season, Paul and Kailen work with unhappy couples, professional rivals and neighbors who've been quarelling for years. The results are sure to be inspiring!

Check out this special clip chosen by Paul specially for EBONY and be sure to check out "Lovetown, USA" this Sunday, August 19th at 10pm EST on OWN!
