The 2018 BET Awards was ablaze this Sunday in more ways the one, with several stars rocking hot fits while basking in the sweet California heat, including New Orleans bounce artist, Big Freedia.

The NOLA native stopped to chop it up with EBONY on the red carpet where she shared her joy over being one member of the LBGT community to “break barriers”’ for others, saying, “I’m here to represent the LGBTQ community and to inspire other artists to do what they want, live their dreams and do whatever their passion is.”

EBONY also caught up with A Wrinkle in Time star Storm Reid, who shared she recently shot an HBO pilot with her fellow young, gifted and Black actress, Zendaya. She also revealed that her latest project will take her to Ghana, sharing her excitement over visiting the motherland. Speaking of which, POWER star Rotimi stopped by as well to discuss the upcoming season and the pride he has for his Nigerian heritage.
