36 Times Halle Bailey Showed Out on the Red Carpet

EBONY's May 2023 cover star Halle Bailey has been making waves before she was even cast as Ariel in Disney's live action rendition of its iconic film The Little Mermaid. First singing covers with her big sis Chloe on YouTube, which led to Queen Bey herself signing the siblings to her record label Parkwood Entertainment, to being cast in the new musical film adaptation of The Color Purple, alongside Ciara, H.E.R. and Taraji P. Henson, Halle is undeniably a GenZ "it girl."

And whether she's with or without her sister Chloe, Halle has been serving a look. Lately, she's been leaning into her Disney princess phase of dressing by wearing standout gowns on the carpet, worthy of any "queen in-training." A recent case in point is this year's Met Gala in which she donned a white lacy halter-neck gown with a dramatic ruffled cape, both by the Italian fashion house Gucci.

Plus, not only is her fashion style on point but also her makeup and hair are too. And while Halle usually flaunts an understated beat and lets her flawless skin take the shine, when it comes to her loc style she likes to switch it up. Whether her locs are pulled up or let down, short or long, their natural shade or colored, Halle's loves switching up her tress look—showing us loc styles are versatile and don't need to be static.
