It isn’t entirely safe outside, but when it comes to the gratifying, healing power of Black culture and community, this year’s Afropunk is greatly needed.

The 2021 Atlanta edition has announced its lineup, including headlining acts such as Smino, Rico Nasty, and Atlanta’s own Dungeon Family. To bridge the gap back to Africa once again, the annual Afropunk celebration will find Wale “bringing D.C.'s go-go party” down to the A, while Tkay Maidza and Tems help to keep the bodies in motion with their patented grooves.

With this year’s theme of “WE GOT US,” Afropunk Atlanta 2021 will center in on the messages of self reliance and self determination within the Black community, while inviting audiences to connect with one another over a uniquely curated host of live performances and culturally relevant programming.
