Last night in New York City celebrities from the fashion, art and entertainment industries gathered at the New Museum for an intimate dinner celebrating the official launch of MOËT & CHANDON c/o VIRGIL ABLOH.

EBONY Power 100 Honoree Virgil Abloh partnered with Moët & Chandon, a French fine winery, to re-imagine two limited-edition bottles of Moët Nectar Impérial Rosé champagne.

Abloh is known to work with other brands, but this is the designer’s first-ever liquor brand collaboration. A 3L Jeroboam is available exclusively to friends and family of Abloh and Maison, as well as a 750ml “ready-to-wear” design launching nationwide at retailers and on Clos19.com on Oct.17.

Renaud Butel, vice president of Moët & Chandon USA, started the night off with a toast to Abloh calling him “the greatest” visionary. The designer humbly accepted the compliment but retorted, “I’m not the greatest at anything.” He continued to give thanks and credit to the “New Wave,” which he said symbolized the collective inspiration he got from his guests and the culture of New York City.

DJ Venus X kept the partying upbeat while guests enjoyed a four-course dinner designed to pair with Moët Nectar Impérial Rosé champagne and the final course was paired with two custom cocktails explicitly created for this event, “The New Classic” and “The Drop.”  Abloh surprised the crowd by joining Venus X for a DJ performance at the end of the night.
