Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War was a juggernaut at the worldwide box office, amassing $630 million in its opening weekend.

The feat shattered Universal Picture’s Fate of the Furious, which made $541 million last year for its global opening.

Infinity War had the largest opening at the North American box office. It earned $250 million in three days, squeaking past 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which made $248 million in its opening.

“Disney masterfully combined all of the separate elements of the Marvel brand and brought them together in an enormous and irresistible epic popcorn movie,” Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst at comScore, told CNN Money.

Disney has made over $15 billion since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was launched with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man in 2008.

Infinity War’s success also led to a boost for Black Panther at the box office. The Ryan Coogler flick earned $4.3 million in its 11th weekend since release, bringing its domestic total to $688 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
