Just like clockwork, the Met Gala has returned and given fashion lovers and pop culture stans alike an evening worth waiting for. Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, this year's theme was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty," which paid homage to the fashion giant that Lagerfeld was within the industry.

Hand and hand, Brittney and Cherelle Griner arrived at the Met Gala with smiles and gratitude. The two spoke of how happy they were to spend time together, especially after what they both have experienced in the past year. Brittney also spoke about working with the Bring Our Families Home organization, which is working to aid in the safe return of American political prisoners who are imprisoned in other countries.

With an elaborate and innovative look, Doja Cat played on her own name and the legacy of Karl Lagerfeld’s pet cat, Choupette. She donned an Oscar de la Renta look complete with a prosthetic nose and full glam.

If it's one thing Lil Nas X is going to do, it's give drama to commit to a theme. The Montero superstar showed off his goods while covered head-to-toe in silver metallic paint, crystals and pearls.

Michaela Coel Wows in a Stunning Embellished Gown as a Tribute to Kaiser Karl
Lagerfeld was widely admired for his expertise and his deference to the couture handiwork of the Parisian old world master ateliers. Actress Michaela Coel embodied this through her chosen Schiaparelli gown. Coel stated that there were "130,000 crystals, 26,000 mixed stones and over 3,800 hours of work" that went into her "second skin" for the evening.
