Last night was the 76th annual Tony Awards, and the men and women of Broadway hit the red carpet in style. Held at the United Palace in Washington Heights section of New York City and hosted by EBONY 2022 Power 100 Entertainment Powerhouse awardee Ariana DeBose, the ceremony was full of laughs and best moments.
Some of our Hollywood fave's hit the red carpet that evening, plus a few new names that weren't previously on our radar (shame on us!)—but sure are now. This year's Tony Awards ceremony had more Black attendees than in previous years, and we are here for it! Rising film star Dominique Fishback wowed us in a sexy cut-out black dress paired with a spicy red lip. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II cut a sharp figure in his metallic suit. And Lupita Nyong'o brought a powerful statement with her shaved head and sculpted custom metal breastplate by Pakistani artist and designer Misha Japanwala in support of body liberation and resisting gender-based violence.
