Awards season isn’t quite over just yet as the 2021 Billboard Music Awards is happening tonight. The fully announced performers, presenters, and appearance list for the Sunday show, which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, have been shared and it is looking like a powerhouse night not to forget.

Hosted by current The Voice coach Nick Jonas, the 2021 Billboard Music Awards will serve as the perfect way to celebrate Alicia Keys, as the nine-time BBMA-winning singer-songwriter will perform a medley of songs from her debut album, Songs in A Minor. Fellow collaborator Drake will receive the Artist of the Decade Award. The title holder of the most Billboard Music Award wins after taking home 12 trophies in 2019 is also a finalist in seven categories, which would break his own record for most wins of all time.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are teaming up with Sounds Of Blackness and Ann Nesby to perform “Optimistic” from the late, great Prince’s Paisley Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This year’s awards are based on the chart period of March 21, 2020 through April 3, 2021. Powered by the people, the Billboard Music Awards are based on key fan interactions with music, including audio and video streaming, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data and Next Big Sound.

Presenters include: Cynthia Erivo, Gabrielle Union, Lena Waithe, Leslie Odom, Jr., Lil Rel Howery, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Swizz Beatz, Tina Knowles Lawson, and many others.

Collaborations and special performances scheduled include DJ Khaled featuring H.E.R. and Migos, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Karol G, Doja Cat, SZA, and BTS.

Houston’s own Trae Tha Truth will receive the Change Maker Award for his unwavering dedication to fighting for the Black people, and delivering social, educational, fiscal, and medical equity in his community.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will air Sunday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC.
