The NMAAHC: Images of Who We Are

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture opened Saturday and gave visitors a new, technologically sophisticated and interactive way to view the past.

Exhibits traced Black roots to African cultures and societies to the present day viewpoint of Blacks in America. EBONY photo editor Geoffrey Black traveled to Washington D.C. for the opening and brought back some amazing images that are just a sample of what you’ll find when you go to the NMAAHC.
