As a part of their “Marry Bacon” campaign, Jack in the Box is adding bacon milkshakes to their pork-happy lineup. The concoction, which is being marketed as a drink oppose to a dessert—or whole meal in itself—is made with vanilla ice cream, bacon flavored syrup, whipped topping and a maraschino cherry. A 16oz “regular” shake holds 773 calories, while a 24oz large has 1,081 calories in it. The shake will only be available for a limited time at participating restaurants.

When asked about the high-calorie specialty drink, a spokesperson for Jack in the Box told the Huffington Post, “The shake is not listed on our menus in the restaurants, so it’s more of a ‘secret item’ that people can order. Each restaurant is getting a very limited quantity, so we don’t know how long they will last.” Reminiscent of the controversial Decatur, Ga-born ‘Luther’ burger made with two glazed donuts and cheese, it’s interesting that Jack in the Box isn’t more forthcoming with their new menu addition.

This has to be a joke, right? Are we sure it’s February 6th today and not April 1st?
