Black Panther has surpassed The Avengers and become the highest-grossing superhero film of all time in the U.S.

Marvel’s latest has grossed $630.9 million in its sixth week of release, topping the $623 million The Avengers made in 2012, according to Box Office Mojo.

The movie is now the fifth highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office.

Since its release in February, Black Panther has broken records box office records and has earned over $1 billion worldwide.

Despite its latest accomplishment, the movie was finally dethroned as the number one movie in North America with Pacific Rim Uprising finally taking the top spot at the box office.
