Kanye Dropping a Spoken Word Album?

We all know Kanye West loves to hear himself talk. So it comes as no surprise that he’s decided to take things a step beyond rap and release three hours worth of spoken word on vinyl for fans to hear him rant deliver magnetic commentary on everything from the environment and art to politics—well, maybe. An inside source says that Ye feels this new project will be “groundbreaking,” and plans not only win a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album, but is thinking about transforming it into a book or “donating” his work to a museum. And for those who don’t mind walking around with a constant headache induced by the soft chatter of angry Yeezus, the extended 24-hour version of his poetry slam will be available for purchase too… snap, snap, snap!

Lil Wayne Premiers Tha Carter V Album Cover

Lil Wayne has finally released the artwork for Tha Carter V. But instead of unveiling the cover himself, he enlisted the help of his favorite non-music-related star to deliver the masterpiece—Kobe Bryant. (Not weird at all.) Apparently, these two are the bestest friends in the whole wide world (with the famed Laker being Wayne’s greatest inspiration in life and music and all), so it was only right that K.B. debuted the simple, yet cute, graphic on his Instagram and Twitter yesterday. No word on the wedding date, but the fifth and final installment of Weezy’s popular Carter series will not drop next Tuesday as previously rumored. (Guess we’ll have to wait for Lil Kobe Wayne to announce the release date too.)
