Chris Brown’s Home Burglarized, Aunt Locked in Closet

Chris Brown and his family escaped a close call after the R&B star’s Los Angeles home was invaded and burglarized early this a.m. According to reports, three armed men entered the house wearing bandanas around 2:00 a.m. PST, imprisoning Brown’s aunt in a closet and leaving with an undetermined amount in cash and other possessions. Fortunately for Breezy, he was (naturally) out at a nightclub when the robbery occurred. But the LAPD is working to apprehend the thieves. “We’re trying to see if there’s any video evidence that might have picked up the suspects,” LAPD Lt. Kirk Kelley told reporters at the scene. Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, has expressed her own theories to TMZ, speculating that one of the singer’s own cohorts was likely behind the breach.
