Diddy’s Revolt TV Launching First Annual Music Conference in October

Regardless of how you feel about Diddy, one truth remains: he may not be sure about his name, but he knows his stuff when it comes to this here music business. That’s exactly why Puff Daddy/Diddy/Sean Combs is bringing some of the best, biggest and brightest industry insiders together for the first ever Revolt Music Conference! Everyone from musicians to music execs, publicists to marketing moguls (and everyone in-between) will be in attendance to offer guests both networking opportunities and a better grasp on the evolving music business.

Russell Simmons, L.A. Reid, MTV co-founder Bob Pittman and Diddy himself are some of the guest speakers scheduled for the panel discussions touching on subjects like starting a record label and the role of women in the industry. (But y’all know Mr. Cîroc ain’t letting folks leave without indulging in some bottle-poppin’ and wild party nights by the poolside.) The experience is going down at LIV and the Fountainbleau Miami Beach from Thursday, October 16 to Sunday, October 19. Meagan Good Addresses Skin Bleaching Rumors

If you haven’t heard this foolery already, there’s a rumor circulating that Meagan Good has been bleaching her beautiful brown skin. (Sigh.) Being the super proud Hershey-kissed role model she is, the seasoned actress felt this rumor was worthy of addressing, so she took to Instagram to let the complexion police know she’s never once raised a bleach cream to her face (or body).

“I LOVE my complexion—no matter what side of the spectrum I’m at at any particular time… My skin looks various different ways for various reasons—from lighting to makeup… style of photography or something as simple as weather and what coast I’m working on at any given time…,” she said in her lengthy “hater sit down” post. Now please, let’s stop accusing our tanned beauties of doing the scrub-a-dub just because of some bad makeup or sketchy lighting.

Nas Announces Time Is Illmatic Fall Tour Dates

Speaking of tickets, Nas just gave hip-hop a reason to wanna buy some. God’s Son announced he’ll be hitting the road this fall with his Time Is Illmatic Tour, where—you guessed it—he’ll perform his classic debut, Illmatic, in its entirety. (It ain’t hard to tell.) The series of shows will coincide with screenings of his eponymously titled Tribeca Film documentary, which hits New York theaters beginning on October 1. The tour jumps off in Rochester, NY and comes to an ill end October 19 in Oakland, California.
