A Black woman living in Chicago was harassed by a white man as she walked down the street around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. The woman, identified as Netta Williams, posted a video of the incident to her Facebook Page.

“Nothing like a little late night racism on your commute home,” she captions. “I don’t wanna hear s*** else about what I post about racism, any -ism really. This is just the overt stuff. The subtle (relatively) s*** harms Black people and non-Black poc every godd***m day.”

In the video, Williams can be seen walking down a dark street. What appears to be a middle-aged white man walking a few feet behind her is also present. “We gave em all the f***ing technology, they’re all a bunch of f***ing pieces of s***,” the man screams. “Pieces of f***ing s***. Dirty motherf****rs! Yeah record all you want you f***ing nigger! You piece of s***. Dirty motherf****!”

Williams, who lives in the city’s Lincoln Square neighborhood, appears to have said nothing to the man during the incident. In the video, she says the man was initially harassing three Latinos on Western and Fullerton. She stuck around to make sure that everything was okay, and that’s when the man turned his attention to her.

“He told me to go back to Africa,” she states during the incident. “I’ve never been to Africa. I think Africa is dope, personally.”

Williams, who narrates throughout the encounter, stated that she recorded the video to show that racism still exist. So far, the 2 1/2-minute cell phone video has been viewed more than 13,000 times and has more than 300 shares as of Thursday morning.
