Hubert Roberts, a Black activist from Michigan, woke up Tuesday morning to find his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado covered in multiple swastikas along with the N-word and the phrase “WITE PRIDE.”

The Detroit Free Press reports Roberts also found red shoelaces hung from both rear-view mirrors, a sign, according to Roberts, which is used by the Ku Klux Klan to intimidate and initiate new members.

Roberts, a well known mentor for young boys in his neighborhood, was in “disbelief” after seeing his truck, followed by “anger” and “disappointment.”

His stepdaughter, Jiquanda Johnson, spoke to the victim’s character, saying he protested on behalf of Black Lives Matter and other rights groups. She also believes his vehicle having activist symbols, as well as decals from blockbuster hit Black Panther may  have made him  a target.

“Now I get it. People get upset about other people’s views and how they feel,” Johnson said in a Facebook Live video showing the truck’s vandalism. “But that gives no one the right to damage someone else’s property or come on anyone’s property.”
