In the teaser for the family's upcoming Lifetime reality series, "The Houstons: On Our Own," Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown confirmed that she and her boyfriend 22-year-old Nick Gordon — who is also her adopted brother — have taken their relationship to the next level. "We're engaged," the 19-year-old told her seemingly bothered family in the clip.
"Engagement — this is unacceptable," replied Bobbi Kristina's aunt Pat Houston. Speculation had arisen about Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon's engagement several months ago, when many noticed a prominent blue ring on the young woman's hand. However, sources close to the couple had continuously denied the allegation. Some are now claiming that Bobbi Kristina's confirmation might have been a stunt used to increase ratings and viewership for the upcoming reality show, which premieres on Oct. 24.
