Hyidea' was on the University Track Team under the coaching of Kim Seals. A member of the University Choir under the direction of Dr. Horace Carney, in the First Alto Section. She has utilized her knowledge to improve retention as a "tutor" for Tutorial Assistance Network (TAN), under the direction of Linda Skeete-McClellan in subjects of STEM and English. Hyidea' was a Student Senator in the College of Engineering, Technology and Physical Science, under the direction of Tara Crawford. Hyidea' also served as the 2017-2018 president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) on Alabama A&M campus. Hyidea' serves as a member of several organizations. She is a member of the Bulldog Pride Committee, lead by First Lady, Mrs. Abbiegail Hugine and was awarded the 2017-2018 Student of the Year. She is a member of the melodious Theta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, Inc. (SAI). Served as SAI treasurer for 2016-2017 and Miss SAI in 2017. A member of the Kaptivating Kappa Iota Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. (SGRHO), where she served as Vice President for 2017-2018. And, a member of Eta Kappa Tau Engineering and Technology Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Chapter.
Hyidea' is currently a graduating senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with a Computer Science and Biology minor. Her future goal is to be the next in demand African-American female dermatologist.
What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
Queen's Adoption. Hyidea' assigned high school girls to everyone on her royal court and all the register student organizations queens and they mentored the young ladies and had a crowning ceremony where they declared them as junior queens.
