ABOUT THE 18TH ANNUAL HBCU LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The 2019 Annual HBCU Leadership Conference that took place in New Orleans from July 25 through July 28, 2019.
For the past eighteen years, the conference has been organized by its founders, Dale Williams (former Queen from Tennessee State University) and Anthony Jones. The conference is geared toward newly elected Kings and Queens as they prepare for their upcoming reigns. Kings and Queens are brought together to learn from one another as well as listen to trained professionals talk about articulation, stage presence, etiquette, confidence, and professionalism.
Dale Williams, Founder
Dale Williams is the founder of Leadership for Queens, a leadership conference for Historically Black University and College (HBCU) Queens. She has independently organized and conducted the conference annually for HBCU queens and kings for more than ten years in four different cities. Anthony M. Jones, Jr., Founder
Anthony M. Jones, Jr. is the founder and organizer for the Kings’ Konnection Leadership Conference. Currently he is the Vice President of Student Affairs at his alma mater Talladega College. He also serves as the advisor for Mr. and Miss Talladega and has recently celebrated over 20 years of planning their annual Coronation. Read more at HBCUKingsAndQueens.com
