Allen University

Demyshia Daniel

Year in School: Senior
Major/Minor: Business Management
Expected Graduation: 2020

Extracurricular Activities:
I am a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. & Phi Beta Lambda Business Fraternity Inc. I am also involved in other activities including serving as a political intern for the Richland County SC Democratic Party and as a mentor to female students on campus. In my free time I like to reading, giving back, and praising the Lord. Demyshia believes that we are queens and we do not need a crown to determine who we are or the distance we will travel in this place called life. A Dean's List recipient since her freshman year, Daniel is excited to represent the institution she loves. "I chose to run for Miss Allen University because I believe in the mission and values of the institution," Daniel said. She remembers when she first stepped foot on Allen University's campus and how the Miss Allen University at that time made her feel. "I remember being a freshman and looking up to Miss Allen University. I remember how she stood up for the betterment of the students at the institution. Since then, I knew this was something I wanted to do as well. An HBCU queen has historic meaning, and being a part of the Miss Allen University linage of queens means a lot to me."

Career Goals:
My aspirations is to become a Human Resource Manager or district manager of a company or my own company.

What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
Actually, there are two memories that I have and was able to share the information with the students of Allen University. I was able to be apart of a Round Table Discussion about Campus Safety and Security with the Richland County S.C. Police Department and the Royal Court and I travel to New Olean to attend the 2019 Queens Conference. I was able to bring back a wealth of important information about the etiquette of a Queen and King and how to be safe and secured on campus. Being Miss Allen is a great experience and opportunity for me, I am honored and humbled to serve as the 2019-2020 Miss Allen University. I believe that we are queens and we do not need a crown to determine who we are or the distance we will travel in this place called life.
