Year in School: Sophomore

I am an active member of the Tiger Spirit Squad, Spirit and Pride Crew, as well as Collegiate 100. When not in class or volunteering, I work in the Rose R. Thomas Writing Center. It is in the Writing Center that I believe I have the greatest impact on campus. I use my influence to aid tutors, and professional staff and supporting the student experience.
My career goal is to be a Forensic Pathologist to evaluate diseases and injuries that are most prevalent among African-American women. I plan to present my findings for research and educational purposes. My goal with this information is to advance the best practices and preventative care for underserved and marginalized communities. By examining traits of illnesses and diseases, my plan is to work with communities directly impacted by common causes.
What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?:
As a member of the Spirit and Pride Crew, we encourage students to show their school spirit and become more involved within the campus. Seeing students join clubs, sports teams, and engage with one another really makes me happy. As college students we have great opportunities to give back, have fun, and make life long friends.
