Cardi B has spoken out after claims that her entourage attacked a fan seeking an autograph after the Met Gala on Monday (May 7). The mother-to-be expressed her frustration in a now-deleted tweet, according to People.

Cardi said that she tries to be as accommodating as possible when she gets requests from fans for pictures and autographs. During her pregnancy, however, she has chosen to be more cautious about her interactions. The “Be Careful” rapper wants her fans to respect that choice.

“If you check my tag pics i take a lot of pics with fans. Some people are not fans &sometimes i don’t want no pics and i simply don’t want people too close cause of [my pregnancy],” she wrote. “i don’t know what are people’s intentions sooo i Be careful. Why can’t people respect that?”

Authorities told the publication that following the gala, a quarrel occurred after a fan, Giovanni Arnold, asked Cardi for an autograph outside of the Mark Hotel in New York. It is alleged that a fight broke out between the autograph-seeker and members of the rapper’s crew. Arnold was taken to the hospital after the incident.

He told The Blast that Offset, Cardi’s fiancé, ordered the entourage to attack him. The police are reportedly trying to interview the three men involved in the alleged assault.

Cardi B and Offset are expecting the birth of their daughter this summer. The rapper stopped performing as a result of being in the third trimester of her pregnancy.
