If it's up, then it's stuck — and Cardi B is ascending. On Monday, the talent became the first female rapper to go diamond for her 2018 single "Bodak Yellow." As noted by Yahoo Entertainment, Cardi’s breakout single “Bodak Yellow” has earned an RIAA diamond certification, meaning the song went 10-times platinum and sold 10 million units, which is the first time in RIAA history that a song by a female rapper has achieved the milestone.
"Without you guys this wouldn't happen," Cardi told fans via Twitter after rehearsing all day for an upcoming performance. "This really made my day and really uplifted me for this crazy performance."

New music is dropping every day, hopefully in anticipation of a beautiful, socially-safe spring. The latest talent to give us something to bop to is Doja Cat who released the music video for "Streets" early Tuesday morning.
The dark and sexy video pays homage to the viral TikTok silhouette challenge and was directed by Christian Breslauer. But the most talked about aspect was Kofi Siriboe's role in the video as Doja's object of desire. Caught in her web (watch video for the pun), Kofi plays a taxi cab driver who's mesmerized by a mannequin's silhouette — meanwhile we're mesmerized by his perfect beard and set of golds.
Breonna Taylor's boyfriend cleared of charges.
In This Should Have Never Happened news, Breonna Taylor's boyfriend Kenneth Walker has been absolved of any charges related to the night she was shot by Louisville Metro Police last March.
As reported by CBS News, a judge has permanently dismissed charges against Walker for allegedly shooting and wounding a police officer last year. Walker cannot be recharged for the crimes following the ruling but was initially charged with assault and attempted murder after he allegedly opened fire and wounded Louisville Metro Police Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly. He maintained that he was unaware that police were conducting a raid on the home.
Meanwhile ... no officers who took part in the no-knock raid have been charged for Taylor's death. Of the three officers involved, one, Brett Hankison, was charged in connection with the shooting. The two others, Myles Cosgrove and Joshua Jaynes, were fired.

A year after we shut down as a country to combat the spread of Covid-19, there's light on the horizon. According to CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, there are now more people vaccinated in the U.S. than the number of confirmed cases. "With more and more people getting vaccinated each day, we are starting to turn a corner," Walensky said in a statement.
Yay! Well, wait.
As reported by ABC News 7, with new variants of the virus here in the U.S., the CDC is also urging even vaccinated Americans to wear masks and social distance when in public. So yes, you'll want to keep that mask on for the foreseeable future.
