This week on The Urban Business Roundtable, UBR contributor Samantha Pass speaks with Joe Dudley Sr., co-founder with wife Eunice Dudley, of Dudley Quality Plus, a High Point, N.C.-based hair and skin care products company. Dudley has a legacy as one of the nation’s most accomplished African American entrepreneurs, beginning with the founding of Dudley Products in 1967. Today, Dudley Quality Plus, led by daughter Ursula Dudley Oglesby, is a sterling example of multi-generational entrepreneurship.

But the Dudley brand is known for more than hair and beauty products; it is also an established leader in vocational education, with beauty colleges and universities in North Carolina; Chicago, Ill.; Washington, D.C.; and the African nation of Zimbabwe. Joe Dudley Sr. has earned numerous honors and recognitions, including a 2005 Trumpet Award, induction into the Black College Alumni Hall of Fame and former President George Bush’s 467th Point of Light Award. Dudley joins the Roundtable to share how he overcome obstacles to stay on his destined path of success.

Also, UBR contributor Renita D. Young speaks with entrepreneurship and personal finance expert Cheryl Broussard, CEO of Cheryl Broussard and Company. Broussard is the author of several books, including the e-book The Jet Set Girl’s Guide To Building A Million Dollar Online Empire: Making Money As You Sit On The Beach In The South Of France! Broussard joins the Roundtable to share strategies for creating multiple streams of income.
