Tennis superstar and activist Naomi Osaka, has launched a new collection in partnership with Levi’s. 

According to a press release obtained by EBONY, “the Levi's x Naomi Osaka collection is a playful and celebratory collaboration that honors Naomi's rich heritage and emphasizes sustainability.” Constructed with a combination of upcycled and vintage denim, the collaboration gives a fresh take to pre-existing Levi’s designs which will result in less impact on the environment.

Naomi created four distinct pieces for this limited-edition collection, working closely with Levi’s design team, with silhouettes and design details that perfectly capture her unique blend of sporty and feminine.

“When we were little, me and my little sister would take car rides and drive for hours and hours on end and we would have little fashion design battles and have my dad pick the winner so it’s always been a thing for us growing up,” Osaka said in the promotional video.

“My inspiration behind my collection with Levi’s, I just feel that it took parts of everything that I loved when I was a kid,” she continued. “I really loved wearing kimonos as a kid and to do it in denim was really amazing how they recycle fabrics. For it to be repurposed and sustainable was really important.”

Lace-Up Short

Trucker Jacket Bustier
