Chicago emcee Chance the Rapper took to Twitter Thursday making an emotional plea for help to save his aunt.
"I really need help. My Auntie Toni is one of the strongest forces in my life, and she's in dire need of a #kidney," he wrote. "We have exhausted all options and have been wait listed for years. My family believes in the power of prayer and we give this problem up to God."
After social media users began to offer assistance, the "Groceries" rapper continued, "I'm sorry it was a lil' overwhelmingly emotion writing this, Her blood type is O positive, you can get a quick blood test and physical to find your match."
Staying true to the optimism found in his music, Chance tweeted, "I serve a promise keeping God and his timing's impeccable."
He offered kind words at receiving thousands of likes, retweets and comments in support of his aunt's search. "Thankful for your prayers and encouragement, he added."
