Facebook’s “Live” feature allows you to record yourself in real time. But what one Chicago man recorded is shocking. A graphic video shows the unidentified man standing in front of a convenience store talking to his followers before a slew of bullets launch in his direction.

Seconds before shots ring out, he pans to his surroundings before looking down the street as he jokes that owners opened the store because he needed, “somewhere to duck and hide for cover.”

After he is struck, the phone, which continued to record the aftermath of the incident, falls to the ground and shows an assailant, who stands over the device, firing at least 16 shots.

After a brief moment of silence, a distraught woman and a male voice saying he will take the victim to the hospital can be heard.
