What is your most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen?: My most memorable contribution as a Campus Queen has been inspiring my peers through my platform of “Find your POWER”. I live by the belief that everyone possesses a POWER that they must discover, then live fearlessly which is the basis of my platform. My goal is to help my peers discover their purpose in life and encourage them to pursue their passion without fear or doubt. I have done this through implementing programs such as “100 Black Women in Dresses” that promotes professional dress of young black women; “For Bowie Women Only” a slumber party style program that creates a safe haven for the women of Bowie State University to discuss issues they face; and “The Weight of The Crown” where I discussed with the campus my personal journey to the crown and what it is really like holding this position in a candid fashion. I have seen the fruits of my labor through Bowie Women seeking mentorship and expressing to me their personal journey’s and how my platform as well as my programs have aided in their development.
