Two more women have accused famed comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault, bringing the total number of accusers to 60, The Washington Post reports.
The newly surfaced accusations come from a woman known in a 2005 civil suit as “Jane Doe No. 6,” according to sources who declined to be identified due to ongoing legal cases.
The woman says the incident took place in Cosby’s hotel room one night in the mid-1980s after he appeared at Clemson University, according to court records. Her story of what allegedly came next follows a familiar pattern in the accusations against the legendary entertainer.
According to the woman, Cosby asked her if she liked belly rubs or back rubs. She says shortly after she rubbed his belly she passed out. Her accusation has not previously been reported, and adds to a mountain of allegations leveled against the 79-year-old.
Dozens of women have held news conferences or given media interviews to detail their accusations against Cosby, who has diligently denied the allegations. The second latest accuser to come forward is a woman known as “Jane Doe No. 8.” Her incident dates back to 1984. The woman, whose occupation is described as a modeling agency broker by the Post, said she had been to dinner with Cosby and one of the models from her agency that night.
According to the Post, the woman told her friend Tony Hogue that her “clothes were messed up” and that she was “very uncomfortable” because Cosby was kissing and touching her.
Hogue said in an interview that she was frantic when she called him from Cosby’s Manhattan home late one night in 1984 to come pick her and the model up. During an interview with the Daily Beast, Hogue said he banged on Cosby’s door for a long time. Finally the Cosby Show star answered, he said, and acted like nothing was wrong.
Hogue said he left with his friend and the model, Beth Ferrier, who would later become “Jane Doe No. 5.” “They were such a mess that there wasn’t a lot of conversation,” he said. Cosby denied knowing either women during a deposition related to the lawsuit.
A Pennsylvania judge ruled that Cosby should stand trial in the case. No date has been set. A pretrial conference is slated for early September.
