For the sixth time this year, airlines will be increasing their prices. Leading the pack is the Macon, Ga based company Delta Airlines. The bad news is that prices will increase from $10 to $20 more on round-trip domestic flights. The good news? This only applies to those who buy the ticket within 7 days of departure.
Fare prices typically cause a chain reaction of sorts, leading competitive airlines to increase their prices. If the company doesn’t see a successful outcome by Thursday, they may decide to drop down their prices. Raising fares are basically an attempt to compensate for rising jet-fuel costs that have hit the industry hard.
