Donald Trump Indicted in Miami
Donald Trump was arraigned in a Miami court on 37 counts of mishandling classified documents to which he pled not guilty. The indictment includes instances in which the former president allegedly carelessly showed off the classified files to peers and storing them at his residence in Mar-a-Largo in unsecured areas. Trump was ordered not to share details of the case with his personal aide Walt Nauta.
Anita Baker Removes Babyface From Her Tour
After a fan-fueled feud that lived on social media, singer Anita Baker has permanently removed Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds from her tour. Last month, Babyface shared on social media that Baker pulled him from performing in the May leg of her tour, which she later clarified was due to unforeseeable technical difficulties. His fans were displeased by this and took to social media and left hate comments aimed toward the 'Sweet Love" singer. Yesterday, Baker asked Edmonds to "call off" his fans—which she called "Kenny's Crazies"—and permanently removed him from the rest of her tour.
"It's unfortunate and disheartening to see how things have played out via social media. While I was looking forward to the rest of the dates, I have nothing but love & respect for Anita and I wish her the best for the remainder of her tour," said Babyface in a statement to USA Today.
More Cast Members Announced for Broadway's "The Wiz"
New cast members have been added to the official revival of Broadway's The Wiz. Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker joined the production team for the beloved musical which was a precursor to the star power being added the show. Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox and Avery Wilson have been tapped to play The Wiz, Glinda and the Scarecrow, respectively.
