Memphis Grizzles player Ja Morant was issued an unpaid, eight game suspension. However, he will be eligible to return and play next Monday. In the NBA's announcement, the organization stated that the days that Morant has already missed will be counted toward eight.

His termination, after a long investigation, is due to his failure to report a student's claims of sexual assault against a staff member. His mishandling of the situation caught national attention. He recently remarried Robyn Dixon of the Real Housewives of Potomac with whom he shares two children.
