Tennessee State Legislator Paul Sherrell Wants to Make Lynching Legal Again
When discussing reinstating the firing squad as an execution option in Tennessee, Republican State Legislator Paul Sherrell made crude remarks that bordered on the lines of being "wrong, unjust, and racist."
"I was just wondering about, could I put an amendment on that that would include hanging by a tree also?" said Rep. Paul Sherrell, at a Criminal Justice Subcommittee meeting this week. The NAACP, attorney Benjamin Crump and the Tennessee Black Caucus have all since called for Sherrell's resignation as a result of his remarks.

Kicking off Women's History Month with a bang, Rep. Robert Garcia took the time to honor Beyoncé on the floor of the House of Representatives

Robert Garcia of California. While celebrating her recent history making Grammy wins, Rep. Garcia continued, "She’s stood up for voting rights, for feminism, for women and girls, for my community—the LGBTQ+ community. For my generation and so many others, she simply is the greatest of all time. Her story is history."
Tamron Hall Grills Larsa Pippen
On a recent episode of the Tamron Hall Show, The Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen got into it with the notable talk show host. Hall grilled Pippen on her relationship with Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, and asked why she would even consider the relationship. Larsa was previously married to Michael Jordan's former teammate and NBA icon Scottie Pippen.
During the break, Hall shared that Pippen called her out for being "negative," prompting a back and forth between the two. It has since trended across social media.
