Lovingly referred to as “Mother,” McGrath can spot talent a million miles away and often mentors and nurtures up-and-comers, such as Jessica Ferrelli and Nika Kislyak, that she discovers on Instagram. And, she considers the Makeup Show as yet another avenue for her to turn up new creatives. She’s looking for a wide range of makeup artists of varying skill sets: those who have  runway and editorial shoot experience; those who are media influencers who have the precision for creating highly engaging social media content and how-to videos; as well as those with strong product development knowledge or who have a passion for makeup education and teaching.

If you’re interested in trying out for Mother’s beatdown, you should bring the following with you to the open call:

• 3 images of your best work

• Your bio or résumé

• A head shot or personal photo

The casting will be held on May 6-7, from 10am-5pm, but you must be registered for The Makeup Show in order to participate. To register email Sophia@themakeupshow.com. Good luck!
