It looks as if Eddie Murphy will be riding the nostalgia train into some big bucks over the next few years. Just days after Paramount confirmed another Beverly Hills Cop movie is on the way, a Coming to America sequel is now officially set to hit theaters as well.

Eddie “Prince Akeem” Murphy will star while black-ish creator Kenya Burns is set to handle the script, according to TheHollywoodReporter.

Although there is no deal in place, the iconic stand-up is involved with the development of the sequel—which will be produced by Kevin Misher.

Jonathan Levine, the man behind Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt comedy 50/50, is set to direct.

The original 1988 film was directed by Jon Landis and featured Murphy in several hilarious roles. In many ways, it’s seen as a precursor to films such as The Nutty Professor and Norbit, where he would also take on several personalities.

The comical classic also featured stand-out performances from Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley and John Amos.

While facts surrounding the update are scarce, Murphy’s next sequel, Beverly Hills Cop 4, is set to take place in Detroit, with the transplanted Axel Foley returning home and clashing with a hardened cop while tracking a criminal.
