Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby has a defender in Akon.

TMZ caught up with the star on Monday at Los Angeles International Airport, where he talked Cosby’s recent conviction.

“It’s horrible to think about how someone can have that much impact in the world and have their legacy just simply crash,” he said. “I don’t know to the extent all the facts that’s been put in.”

The “Locked up” rapper said that he’s not sure if Cosby, who was convicted of three counts of drugging and raping Andrea Constand and faces up to 30 years in prison, committed sexual assault.

“There’s a lot of people convicted that’s innocent,” Akon said. “In a situation like this, I don’t know. I’ve already painted a picture of Bill Cosby. He’s a hero to me.”
