TV One just announced their sensational lineup for the forthcoming season of their longest-running, award-winning series, Unsung. This season will kick off Sunday, July 9, and will feature a double profile. The 11th season will open with Wyclef at 9 p.m. ET, and at 10 p.m. ET, the series will reveal the story of R&B group Jagged Edge. After the season premiere, Unsung will move to a new Sunday time slot of 10 p.m. Additional artists honored this season will be Marvin Sapp, Switch, The Dramatics, Shanice and Ice-T.

TV One President Brad Siegel said in a statement to Billboard, “From Classic R&B to hip-hop and gospel, Unsung is known for offering music lovers an in-depth behind-the-scenes view into the lives of their favorite performers as heard from the artists themselves and the friends and family who know them best. We are moving the series to Sunday nights to allow more of our viewers a chance to wind down their summer weekends with an evening of inspiring music to take you down memory lane. This is an exciting lineup of fascinating entertainers that you won’t want to miss.”

Unsung is narrated by actor and comedian Gary Anthony Williams, who was the voice of Uncle Ruckus on The Boondocks. Throughout the series past 10 seasons, Unsung has profiled Xscape, Donny Hathaway, DeBarge, the Clark Sisters and Gil Scott-Heron among others.
