The breakout success of Issa Rae’s web series “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl” has thrilled viewers across the country, proving that there is an audience for Black programming that is different from the standard, often-stereotypical fare often found in our television shows. After going completely viral thanks to a co-sign from Clutch last February, the show launched a super-successful Kickstarter campaign which grossed over over $56,000 and looking at the production quality on the season finale, its definitely money well-spent!
