Beyoncé & JAY-Z recently announced their $1 million scholarship program through the BeyGOOD Initiative and The Shawn Carter Foundation. A total of $100K will be given to each of 11 high school seniors chosen by their local Boys & Girls Club chapter, with DJ Khaled announcing the first two recipients during The Carters’ Orlando tour stop.

The Shawn Carter Foundation shared an Instagram post of the emotional moment Keshawn Morgan realized he won, captioning the clip, “The recently announced OTR II scholarship from @BeyGood and @ShawnCarterSF, has officially announced the first recipients in Orlando and Atlanta, chosen by Boys and Girls Club of America. Congratulations to Orlando senior Keshawn Morgan and Atlanta senior Karissa Jackson!”

The scholarship is open to students in “Miami, Arlington, New Orleans, Houston, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Clara and Seattle,” according to a press release. Winners will be announced during each OTR II tour stop.

In April, the birthday girl gave $100,000 to four students at historically black colleges and universities and through a partnership with Google gave four more students $25,000 scholarships each. JAY-Z’s Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund has helped students from low socio-economic backgrounds attend accredited colleges since 2003.
