Criticisms are bound to come your way when you're the hottest chick in the game. Yet, Beyonce's camp must have been particularly irritated with legendary singer, actor, and activist Harry Belafonte, who slammed the award-wining singer and her husband in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

"I think one of the great abuses of this modern time is that we should have had such high-profile artists, powerful celebrities," said Belafonte. "But they have turned their back on social responsibility. That goes for Jay-Z and Beyonce, for example."

In response, Beyonce's camp recently retaliated, challenging Belafonte's claims by releasing to the The Wall Street Journal an "abbreviated" list of socially responsible endeavors the "Run The World" singer has taken on both in the present and the past. Included on the list are Beyonce's co-founding a multipurpose outreach facility in her hometown of Houston, donating 100K to aid Texas victims of Hurricane Ike in 2008, and performing in and donating to MTV's "Hope For Haiti Now! Benefit." Belafonte has yet to publicly comment on his statements about Jay-Z and Beyonce's social doings.
