According to an ABC News report, Bill Cosby is being sued for unpaid legal fees by Samuel Silver, a lawyer on the comedian’s former defense team.

Silver works at the Philadelphia-based law firm Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis. On Tuesday, the company filed a claim suggesting that Cosby failed to pay for legal services from Aug. 2017 to Feb. 2018.

The lawsuit made no mention of the sum of money the firm is seeking on behalf of Silver, but it is reported that more than $50,000 is owed. Cosby’s current legal team challenged the bill.

Joe P. Green, Cosby’s attorney, said the disgraced comedian offered to go to mediation over the “disagreement over the amount of legal fees charged.”

However, Silver said the bill was not contested and that Green and the rest of Cosby’s attorneys agreed the work would be paid for but up to date it has not been.

In April, Cosby was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault. The 81-year-old’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 24. He faces up to 30 years in prison.
