Black Panther is the third film at the domestic box office to gross $700 million.

The MCU action drama hit the milestone this past weekend, nearly six months after its release. Disney reportedly kept it in theaters for an extended run to achieve the goal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Ryan Coogler-directed flick joins 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.6 million) and 2009’s Avatar ($760.5 million) to gross $700 million and more in North America.

On its way to grossing $1.346 billion worldwide, Black Panther has broken numerous records. It’s the highest-grossing superhero movie in North America, it became the first movie shown in Saudia Arabia in 35 years and is the most-tweeted-about movie ever.
