2 Chainz Charged with Felony Drug Possession
If you’ve ever listened to 2 Chainz’s music, then you’ve likely heard him rap about Promethazine (the make-you-wanna-get-your-face-tatted-with-an-ice-cream-cone drug found in sizzurp). Too bad the feds were really watching and busted Little Ezel for possession of the potent pills at LAX back in June 2013. (Now all those colorful silk shirts, vampire capes and fringed-and-feathered leather jackets finally make sense.) Almost a year later, and the pill happy rapper has been hit with one charge of codeine possession, which could leave him cuffed in two chains for up to three years if found guilty. (Well, at least his rhymes are really “based on a T.R.U. story.”)

Michelle Williams Responds to #PoorMichelle
Poor Michelle… no, I’m not coming for her, just reciting the disrespectful (yet hilarious) hashtag that became a trend on Twitter yesterday. Joke-cracking fans composed memes showcasing incidents where Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland have trumped, or seemed to exclude, whom everyone likes to call “Destiny’s Child’s third member” followed with, well, ya know. One example was a screenshot of D.C.’s Wikipedia page that listed both Kellz and Bey as “lead vocalist” and “#PoorMichelle” as just a backgrounder. Of course, Michelle Williams caught wind of the shady trend and responded to it on her own Twitter account. “#PoorMichelle that’s not what my accountant said! Y’all be blessed now…” (Bop!) And let the bank say “amen.”

Toni Braxton to Play Darlene Love in New OWN Biopic
While currently on Broadway singing her heart out in the jazzy musical After Midnight, Toni Braxton has just been named the lead in OWN’s first scripted TV movie, My Name Is Love: The Darlene Love Story. (Bankruptcy who?) The film will explore the career and love life of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darlene Love, who’s known as the biggest voice behind Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound hits during the 1960s. The biopic is slated for a December release, so let’s see how much drama Toni’s capable of outside of Braxton Family Values.
