Drake Puts Meek Mill on Life Support With Second Dis Record “Back 2 Back (Freestyle)”

It was all good just a week ago. Meek Mill has been racking up Ls ever since he questioned the authenticity of Drake’s pen. The latest, which came hours after the Philly rapper was booed at a Toronto stop of Nicki Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour, is “Back 2 Back (Freestyle),” another wisecracking comeback from Drizzy.

“Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?” Drake raps. “I know that you gotta be a thug for her/This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.” Ouch! Things are getting really real and Meek has yet to drop some vocal responses on a track. Clock is ticking, pressure is on. Is it too late for the MMG lieutenant to come back?

In related news, Treach from Naughty By Nature has some issue with Funkmaster Flex that may or may not have something to do with the current beef casserole involving Flex, Drake and Meek. For some reason, the OG rapper logged onto his Twitter account and typed the following 83 characters: “NO FUNK FLEX ZONE YOU WILL NEVER GET A DOLLAR IN JERSEY AGAIN YOU B*TCH ASS N*GGA!!” So there’s that.

Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige to Star in The Wiz Live! Musical

There’s a new Wizard in Emerald City. Queen Latifah will be lording over the Yellow Brick Road in the NBC musical The Wiz Live! The multitalented entertainer is joined by Mary J. Blige, who is slated to play the Wicked Witch of the West (named Evillene). The Kenny Leon-directed production will feature Cirque du Soleil acrobats, making it NBC’s first collaboration with the entertainment company.

“I can’t wait to watch Mary bring the badness that is Evillene,” said Leon. “Her talent range is off the charts.” It’s not Latifah’s first day at the rodeo, er, musical—she’s previously performed in Chicago (2002) and Hairspray (2007). The Wiz Live! debuts December 3 on NBC.

Terrence Howard Is Being Sued By His Ex-Wife for Assault and Defamation

Terrence Howard’s Empire character Lucious Lyons has his share of legal woes on screen, but the 46-year-old actor is now facing a real life case of his own. He’s being sued by his ex-wife, Michelle Howard, for assault and defamation that stems back to 2013. As the civil complaint claims, the alleged assault went down in a Costa Rica rental house. Terrence allegedly punched Michelle on the left side of her face, pushed and strangled her. She claims to have pepper sprayed him after charged at her later that evening. Damages have not been specified. Please say it ain’t so (again), Terrence.
