Lil B Says New Music With Frank Ocean “Coming Soon”

At least one wish on music lovers’ Christmas lists went ungifted this year: new music from Frank Ocean. But according to Lil B, we’ll be hearing from the Odd Future singer sooner than later. B posted a photo on Tumblr of himself in the studio with the Grammy-winning singer, presumably working on new material. “Rare photo of Lil B and Frank Ocean in the studio together!” the photo’s caption reads. “New music coming soon. Collect this.” We don’t know (or care) where the new song(s) end up, we’re just fiending for another hit from Frank.

Big Sean’s “IDFWU” Beat Was Originally Supposed to Be a Justin Bieber Song

Big Sean’s petty breakup anthem “I Don’t F**k With You (IDFWU)” nearly never happened. The beginnings of the song’s DJ Mustard and Kanye West-helmed instrumental was originally intended for Justin Bieber, according to Mike Free, a producer who regularly works with the aforemenioned Cali hitman.

“Originally, I think Justin Bieber was supposed to have it,” he told XXL, referencing an Instagram clip of Bieber playing a snippet of his version. “They ended up taking it and Big Sean got the song. I’m glad, because we ended up getting a really strong record for hip-hop.” It’d be hard to imagine the Biebs extinguishing former flames as harshly as Sean, so let’s be glad he came away with the track (although Sean’s ex Naya Rivera probably feels differently). Yay, reverse appropriation!

Jeezy Surprised Atlanta Kids With Toys and a Screening of Annie

Jeezy proved that Frosty isn’t the only Snowman with holiday spirit. As part of his Street Dreams Foundation, the 37-year-old rapper surprised ATL shawties by renting out a movie theater and treating kids to the new Quvenzhané Wallis/Jamie Foxx-starring Annie—he even passed out popcorn to the 100 young’uns in attendance.

Following the holiday film, Jeezy Clause treated the children to food and toys (no tricks). “I just remember growing up and just being one of the people that wanted to make a difference in the community, and now that I’m able to do so, I just try to make sure I do that just year-round, not just one time of year. Christmas is special for everybody,” Jeezy told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I love the kids and I love to see smiles on they faces, and even their parents faces. So it just makes all the difference in the world for me to go around the world, tour, and then come back and make sure I give back to my community and my people.”
